Grape smashing in French Club

Last week, French Club enjoyed celebrating a technique used for making wine in France: grape smashing! The members that were interested in smashing grapes lined up and took turns smashing grapes in a bowl with their feet. The grapes were extremely slippery, so smashing the grapes required the support of other members. French Club member Hannah Sherinian said, “It was a lot of fun! I felt like the grapes were at my mercy. The grapes felt like those Orbeez beads but instead of being durable, they broke. My feet smelled like grapes for the rest of the day, which was great!” Overall, the entire French Club was thoroughly entertained by bringing a huge part of French culture into the classroom!
