SADD Blood Drive a success
On Oct. 18, Delphi Community High School SADD members hosted their annual blood drive. To donate, students had to be over 16 with parents’ consent. Elijah Houser is a senior at Delphi Community High School with a gift for bringing the creatures of his imagination to life. Cross country runner advances to regionals
Alyssa Erickson qualified for regionals by running a 22:59 at sectionals. That time was just 10 seconds off of her personal record time of 22:49. At the Benton Central Regional, she ran a 23:58 and that is where her season ended. Regardless, moving on to regionals as a freshman is a major accomplishment.

Lifeguarding class gives elementary kids swim lessons
For the rest of the school year, Mrs. Carpenter’s lifeguarding class will be teaching the third, fourth, and fifth grade students from DCES how to swim. This past week, Delphi’s FFA chapter attended the FFA National Convention on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. Delphi’s group featured 25 students, two alumni members, and two advisers.
