Senior Spotlight: Joel Rhode
Army-bound senior, Joel Rhode, has a concrete plan in place after graduation. He is off to basic training at the end of July this year which will take roughly eight to ten weeks. After that, Joel heads to Advanced Individual Training (AIT) to become more specialized. He will complete his education at Airborne School fully ready to serve. The biggest thing Joel is looking forward to is the opportunity to travel and the plethora of experiences he will have. Other positives he points out are the strong relationships he is sure to make, the fact that all the education is paid for, and the availability of bonus money while he serves. If you are interested in following in Joel’s footsteps then be sure to talk to one of the recruiters as soon as you can. Joel notes that talking to a recruiter earlier rather than later allows you more opportunities and connections. Because of those connections, he has been taking online classes which will allow him to be promoted before basic training is even over.
