Top movies of the summer

If you’ve been on planet Earth recently, chances are you know there were a ton of highly-anticipated movies that were released this summer. Here are some highlights:

Top Gun: Maverick

Starring Tom Cruise and Jennifer Connelly, Top Gun: Maverick is a high-speed thriller. Picking up nearly 30 years after the original Top Gun movie, Maverick returns to the cockpit as an instructor. Dealing with his rocky past, Maverick has to confront the truth and complete his mission. Make sure to watch this movie with surround sound!

Thor: Love and Thunder

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, and Natalie Portman, Thor: Love and Thunder is a comedy at heart. Although now standing as the lowest-rated Marvel movie of all time, it may be the funniest. Thor joins the Guardians of the Galaxy and old-time lover, Jane Foster, to save New Asgard and all of humanity from Gorr, the God Butcher. Juggling his feelings and his civil duty, will Thor have to sacrifice something he loves in order to save the world?

Jurassic World: Dominion

Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Howard, and the original cast of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World: Dominion is the conclusion to the Jurassic World trilogy, and ultimately, the Jurassic Park universe as a whole. The story picks up a few years after the “Jurassic World” park was destroyed. With dinosaurs roaming every continent on Earth and new species of wildlife mysteriously appearing, will the dream team be able to bring balance back? Or will humans become extinct just like their cold-blooded reptilian friends did so long ago . . .

Elvis

Starring Tom Hanks and Austin Butler, Elvis is a ‘blast from the past.’ The movie, following Elvis’ manager, recreates Elvis’ most famous musical performances. Not only being a story that the public has rarely been told, Elvis also helps tell the tale of how the music icon found his artistic style and made it his own. History buffs and music lovers alike will enjoy this dazzling tale!

If you haven’t seen any one of these movies, take this as your sign.
