Health Science prepares for CPR certification
Since coming back to school after Spring Break, Mrs. Miller’s Health Science I classes have been studying to get certified in CPR. The first year health science students complete this training every year. They will study until April 26 when Ephina Disinger comes in to school, gives a demonstration, and gives the test. While a certification in CPR only lasts a couple of years, going through the certification process and training is very important. Along with the benefits of going through training, having the certification also allows for students to advance into the CNA program. According to junior Carlos Alfaro, a student in the class, “This will help me prepare and learn for my career as a surgical nurse.”
