OO Senior Spotlight ~ Abby Burns leads newly combined marching and concert band

With the recent merging of the Marching Band and Concert Band, senior Abby Burns has stepped up alongside junior Eric Achor to ease the transition. This is the first time in DCHS history that joining concert band has required students to also take part in Marching Band in the fall and Pep Band in the winter. Abby, never having tried Pep Band before, found out through this experience that she really enjoys being a part of the Pep Band on Friday nights. Abby lists many positive attributes to involvement in the school pep band such as being part of a community, sharing inside jokes, working together as a team, providing music, and helping to liven up the student section.
