Entertainers make it to state

On Feb. 22, 2020, the DCHS Entertainers performed the song Je Le Vous Dirai by Pierre Certon at Perry Meridian High School. A week prior to this, they had performed at Harrison High School in the district solo and ensemble contest, receiving a gold rating in group 1 with a perfect score, earning them a place in the state competition. Before they left, director Mrs. Cotten said, “I am very proud of these students!  They have worked very hard on this song and are ready to move on to the state level.” At state, the group received a gold rating with distinction and was one point away from a perfect score. The group 1 soloists also received medals at state with Noah Red Elk, Bethany Calloni, and Taylor Treece earning gold medals, and Ensley Circle receiving a silver medal.
