Students Represent Delphi At The State House
Nick Robinson and Katie Stanley are members of the Civil Air Patrol. This organization is an air force auxiliary. It teaches teenagers useful life skills such as leadership, effective communication, teamwork, emergency and medical services, and the value of community service, aerospace. These Delphi students were able to be a part of the page program to meet our county representative at the House of Representatives. In preparation, the Delphi students gathered information about our representative, Heath Vannatter. Roberson and Stanley learned page duties such as delivering documents, obtaining signatures, and providing pertinent information to representatives. These students were able to represent Delphi while talking to senators and an Indiana supreme court justice, Steve David. They developed a personal connection with Mr. David. He showed them around his supreme court office, along with a tour of the supreme court meeting rooms.
