SADD hosts annual blood drive
Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) hosted a blood drive on Nov. 13. Their members have been setting up this event for two weeks. During lunch some of the members signed up people for the blood drive. They gave up their relaxing lunch to help others. On the morning of Nov. 13, SADD members helped the nurses set up before people donated their blood. By the end of the day, fifty-one students donated. That blood will save countless lives. They collected 36 units of whole blood as well as 7 units of double reds. SADD took charge and ran the entire event from checking people in to making sure no one passed out. Thank you to all the students that volunteered their times as well as their blood. A special thank you to the teachers for being so understanding when students had to miss class.
