Vatican v. Pope Francis

Four years ago, Jorge Bergoglio, archbishop of Buenos Aires, took the vows in Vatican City to become Pope Francis. He has quickly become known as the most liberal pope ever, speaking positively about gay marriage, breastfeeding in public, and forgiveness after abortion. However, the Vatican has had enough and is rebelling against the pope.

The Vatican’s disdain against the pope is not a new development. There has been evidence of opposition against the pope since he was first elected. However, the Vatican’s feeling towards the pope are extremely obvious at this time. The Vatican is gaining more and more support in their opposition of the pope. The Vatican is particularly angry about the pope’s views on gay marriage, divorce, and family values. Many members of the Vatican wish for him to quit.

Because Pope Francis is one of the most liberal popes ever, it is expected that he would face some opposition. In the beginning of his time as the pope, Pope Francis had more support than he did critics, but now it is speculated that even people who voted for him are now starting to doubt and turn away from him. If this trend continues, Pope Francis may step down.
