Sports to continue through virtual learning

When the school closed down due to COVID in late November, there was initial concern that sports would be set back.  Despite the lack of in school classes, the athletic department decided to allow the continuation of sports.  All athletes were required to attend all virtual classes in order to participate in sporting events.  Through the five days of virtual learning prior to Thanksgiving break, the basketball team hosted the first game of their season, along with the swim and wrestling teams making up for cancelled events with intersquad meets.  All events had a very select spectatorship, with basketball allowing only immediate family of participating athletes.  In the few weeks before Christmas break, the athletic department plans to do what it can to keep athletics moving, whether in or out of school.  The continuation of sports while on virtual learning days will be treated the same as during days of in school learning.
