FFA member auction raises thousands for the club

On Tuesday, Feb. 25, Delphi’s FFA chapter held its annual member auction. Members of the club were auctioned off to the highest bidder, with the best return coming from Bryant Mays at $32.50 per hour. After being auctioned off, members must work a total of eight hours for their new employer, with all of the proceeds going to the FFA chapter. In addition to the member auction, Delphi FFA started to auction off something new this year as well: sponsorships. In order to help cover the club’s costs, sponsorships for six of the club’s events were sold; unlike the members, there were set prices for these sponsorships, with the price per sponsor going down with each new contributor. This is by far the club’s biggest fundraiser, as the club brought in over $15,000. This money will be used to fund the FFA’s endeavors in the coming year.
