Computer Science works on animation unit

Right now, Mrs. Kinzie’s computer science class is in the middle of their animation unit. The unit started in December and doesn’t have a specified end date. According to Mrs. Kinzie, “I hope to keep at it as long as possible.” In this unit, her computer science students have learned how to draw and move sprites, program movements and keyboard interactions, use conditionals, and organize their code. This unit has been effective at teaching more than just how computers work, but also how to problem solve and maintain organization. Sophomore Kaitlyn Miller said, “I like animation because it teaches me more than just how to code.”
