Entertainers at State Jazz Contest

On March 2, the Entertainers went to an ISSMA jazz contest. They have been practicing since the beginning of the year to learn three pieces to perform in Group 1, the toughest group. The songs that they showcased were “A Foggy Day”, “Besame Mucho”, and “Nearness of You.” The Entertainers had four soloists: Bethany Calloni, Noah Red Elk, Cynthia Rossi, and Jessica Powlen. The group received a gold rating. DCHS choral director Mrs. Cotton was ecstatic: ¨Another one to put on the wall!¨ said Cotton.
