Delphi’s first choir concert this year a success

Tuesday, Oct. 16 was the Delphi Community High School’s first choir concert. They were divided into three amazing choirs: Voca Delphiniums, Chamber Choir, and the Entertainers. All of the choirs sang four or five exceptional songs chosen by Mrs. Cotton, the choir director. The accompanist, Lisa Overstreet, backed the choir with her talented piano skills.

The Voca Delphiniums and Chamber Choir were combined for the night, and they debuted songs like True Colors and Light In The Highway. Also, Vocal Momentum (the Delphi Community High School Show Choir) sang and danced to the song Sing, while the other choirs also sang in the background. The Entertainers did many great songs, such as From a Distance, City of Stars, and Unforgettable.

The best part of the night was unequivocally the combined piece that all of the choirs sang: You Raise Me Up. It was beautifully performed, and it was a great way to end the concert. If you missed it, make sure you go to their Christmas concert on Dec. 17.
