Battle of the Books kicks off

The annual Battle of the Books competition kicked off on Oct. 17 in the high school library. A total of 14 teams with 5 individuals per team are participating this year. Ms. Lawton said, “This is the tenth year for Battle of the Books and it is just as productive as ever. It’s an amazing program and I was very excited for the turn out.” The local competition will be held on Feb. 18 in the Little Theater. The top 2 teams from the local competition will then travel to Carroll High School to compete in the Bacon Bowl on Feb. 25.

The Body Finder, Derting

The Fault in our Stars, Green

In a Heartbeat, Ellsworth

The Last of the Breed, L’Amour

Mrs. Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Riggs

One Step at a Time, Bleill

Pull of Gravity, Polisner

True Legend, Lupica

Variant, Wells
