Under the guidance of new head coach Meagan Grace and assistant coach Kate Hickner, the 2016 girls’ soccer team experienced unprecedented success. They led the Oracles to a 5-9-1 record, marking the most wins in a single season in Delphi history. After starting the season 0-3, the Lady Oracles won back-to-back games by a margin of 21-0. Not only did they break the most wins in a season, they won their first sectional game in the program’s history by beating Taylor on a goal by junior Emily Jakes with 5:55 left in the match.

Ashley Webb, a four year starter for the program, is ecstatic with the team’s success. “I think the season went great! We won more games this season than my previous seasons on the team. It was just so great winning games for once.” Ashley is one of nine senior girls who have definitely worked toward moving Delphi’s girls’ soccer program toward a winning tradition.
