Wayne Campbell visits Delphi

Wayne Campbell, guest speaker for a foundation called Brady’s Hope, visited Delphi Community School Corporation on Friday, April 18.

Brady’s Hope is a foundation for prescription drug awareness. This foundation was created by Dustin and Jennifer Noonkester after the death of their child Brady to a prescription drug overdose. Brady had just recently graduated from the neighboring county school, Carroll High School, when he passed away. Since then the Noonkester have taken it upon themselves to spread the word about the dangers of prescription drugs.

Wayne Campbell speaks from experience. He, too, lost his son Tyler to a prescription drug overdose. After the families loss they also created a foundation called Tyler’s Light. You can visit their website at www.tylerslight.com. Wayne now travels the country to share his story and to educate young people.

Community School Corporation, Wayne shared three different perspectives. One speech was given to the seniors, juniors, and sophomores, a second to the freshman class, and his final speech was given to the middle school. “I thought that the program was a huge success, the speaker was magnificent, and his message was very moving to a number of our students.” says, teacher, Mrs. Carpenter
