Sunshine brings empty pocket

With the coming of blue skies and warm temperatures, everyone begins to do the same thing: spend money. Between tanning lotion, new bathing suits, and cool sunglasses, everyone is getting ready for summer. But where does all this money come from? Summer jobs.

One of the best places to work over the summer is a city pool. Many city pools, like the one in Monticello, has many job opportunities. You could lifeguard, work the concession stand, or teach swimming lessons. It is a great opportunity to get a really great tan and spend some time outside. People from all over the area come to work at a city pool, so it’s also a great way to make friends.

Another job opportunity is Indiana Beach. This fun-filled amusement park provides many great chances to make some cash. You could lifeguard, run rides, run games, or work in the food area. It would be another opportunity to make great friends and possibly ride some rides after hours.

If you are a senior, you could also work at Indiana Packers. Although this job doesn’t offer the benefits of outside work, it offers a great hourly wage and decent work hours. It is the perfect opportunity to make a good amount of cash before college and have a little extra spending money for the summer.

No matter what you do, summer should be a great opportunity to make good friends, get a dark tan, and have a lot of fun. So why not choose something that will help you do all three and make money?
