Preparing for prom

The weather is warming up and spring is in the air, that means that prom is right around the corner. For most high school students prom is one of the most anticipated nights of their lives. Have you made your plans yet? If not here are some interesting ideas, great restaurants, and fun things to do after prom.

Before prom the most important thing to remember is to take pictures. These pictures can last you a lifetime and are always a great memory to look back on. After pictures are over with you should make your way to dinner. There are a variety of options for dinner. Some of my suggestions would be La Scala, Mountain Jacks, Hour Time, and also McGraw’s. Going out for dinner is always a good choice, but another option that you could take is having a home cooked meal at your house or possibly your dates house.

After dinner you will be ready to get your dancing shoes on and head to the dance. Prom pictures should be your first stop, and you should be sure to pick up an order form from the main office beforehand. After you have your pictures taken you should head to the dance floor and dance the night away.

Proceeding prom is the always- interesting after prom. After Prom will be held this year at Great Skates in Lafayette. After Prom will consist of roller skating, laser tag, great food, and plenty of great prizes.

If roller skating just isn’t your thing, then there are plenty of other fun activities that you and your friends could do after prom. Bonfires are always fun on a nice spring night. You can sit around the fire and roast marshmallows with some of your closest friends. A movie night is always a good idea. After a long night of dancing it is nice to wind down with some great movies and even better friends. My final suggestion would be to just go home and have a good night’s sleep.

Prom night can be one of the best memories of your life, but if you are not smart or safe about your activities this night could be your last. Make good decisions and have the best prom possible.
